5 Things To Do Differently in 2021

Firstly, I must congratulate anyone reading this for making it into the new year! Happy New Year from me to you! Back in 2020, I did a Q&A review on my IG story about setting new year resolutions. I got some replies which I wasn’t able to share, due to time. Not withstanding, I’ll be listing out some ideas for New Year’s resolution and how to make your most successful year ever!

I want to share some things you can do differently to ensure your success in 2021. They can make a significant progress and difference in your life. Also, you’ll be able to adjust and fix that which you didn’t achieve in 2020.

New Year Resolutions (2021)

Accept Your Strength And Weakness

Regardless of the challenges or circumstances faced, we should continue to look at the bright side of life. Focus on the positive of even your smallest accomplishments. Celebrating little accomplishments is critical and a step towards success. Instead of sulking over failures or disappointments, consider being flexible and opening your mind to learning something valuable. It really goes a long way.

Practice Self-love

Self love is about taking care of yourself and knowing you’re enough. Often, we attempt to reinvent ourselves at the beginning of the New Year. We’re hardwired to focus on the negative, the things we don’t do well. We need to learn to be gentle with ourselves and train our brains to focus on the positive.

Our performance is not enhanced when we are self-critical. Regular practice of self-compassion and self-care, especially during COVID-19 can reduce stress and help us move forward more positively. 

Stop Wasting Time

Time is the only thing we’ll never get back, which is why it’s one of your most valuable resources. Life goes by in the blink of an eye and too often we spend a bulk of our time on things that we don’t want to do, or that aren’t beneficial to what we want from our life. Stop wasting time on things that aren’t really important to you. Spend time working on your dreams and with those you love because you won’t have those people forever. Learn to live each moment fully present so you don’t miss the little moments. Those moments are what you’ll remember at the end of your life.

Avoid Toxic Relationships And Behaviors

You choose to love and you can choose whether to stay in the relationships in your life. It can be a significant order or friends, but if the relationship is toxic without the possibility of improvement, it’s very healthy for you to part ways. You have to determine if the relationship is worth rescuing, but trying to fix something that’s broken is a waste of time and will end up affecting your state of mind.

Step Outside Of Your Comfort Zone

Sometimes it’s smart to play it safe, but too often we don’t do all the things we want to do in life because it’s outside of our comfort zone. It can be leaving a job you hate or moving to a cool dream designation, but whatever it is, those dreams are in your mind and heart for a reason. It’s time to stop putting off what you really want to do because before you know it, life will pass you by.

The point is, as much as we continue to live life without regrets. At the end of your life you’re not going to remember all the stuff you accumulated, you’ll remember your experiences. Choose your dreams over stuff. Choose the life you want over what’s comfortable. And lastly, don’t forget to be a better YOU this year, 2021!
